Farewell Summer...

This Summer has been truly amazing. Although I worked majority of my summer, I had a great time meeting new people, making new friendships, experiencing some new adventures, and spending time with the amazing people in my life. Vacationing in The Bahamas was a great way wrap up the summer. It was definitely a relaxing one and I enjoyed it. Despite summer ending, my favorite season is shortly approaching, AUTUMN! The school year is around the corner and this year is going to be an important, challenging, yet exciting year for me.
It's my senior year of college and boy am I nervous! I know with a new year there will be new challenges and new obstacles that I will face, but through the grace of Christ, I know all things are possible. On that note, Hello Fall!

Elephant Artists!

I was browsing the web and came across this picture of an Elephant painting in Mae Sa, Chiang Mai, Thailand. I thought it was the coolest and cutest thing! This is definitely not something you see every day and to see animals engaging in art is just astonishing! Elephants are also one of my favorite animals. They are very intelligent and have good memory.

A Life Without ART.

After having a deep conversation with a great friend, we both realized that we need to get back into our artistic eye. Both of us mentioned how we felt that something was missing in our lives...ART! I really need to get my creative juices flowing again. Art is something that I've always been passionate about and enjoy. It completes me, it relieves my stress, and it satisfy my soul...I'm not complete without it. Point, blank, period: My creative juices will be flowing again! :)

The Sunshine After the Rain.

Wow,

I'm finally done with my third year of college! It went by so quickly, but I'm so proud. I also really surprised myself this semester as far as my grades. Not to brag, but I received two A's, two A-, and one B. I am extremely proud due to the fact that in the Fall semester I had a difficult time. I was constantly stressed and had way too much on my mind. I had a near death experience before coming into school in the Fall, and the house fire really left me scared and always afflicted. Through the grace of God all things are possible and all things can get better.

I love this verse in Philippians 4.13 "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." This I do believe. I'm not a preacher nor am I trying to preach, but do believe that God can and will help you get through anything. You have to build that relationship with him, you cannot just call on him when you need him. Sometimes I like to just take the time to thank him for all he has done rather than ask for something. Sometimes we spend so much time worrying about what we want that we forget to be thankful for what we have.

Long story short, I am just truly blessed and happy with what I have, the people in my life, and my life in general. My relationship with God just makes things that much better!

Young Reminisce

The nice weather today, and the children in the hospital today, had me reminiscing about when I was a little kid. When life was less stressful, and everything seemed fun. I came across a few pictures I had found of me when I was younger. Some at one of my birthday parties, in Cabo Verde, etc. I love looking at old photos because they bring back and capture so many great memories. They also remind me of what a great childhood I had, and I hope one day when I have children, that I can give them a great childhood too..."Forever Young"

Young , and Fashionably Fly (Daniel "Diggy" Simmons)

Daniel "Diggy" Simmons , son of Hip Hop's greatest, Rev Run, is on his grind. With a new mixtape, clothing and shoe line coming out shortly, it’s hard to believe this young entrepreneur is still only 14 years old. Diggy, alongside of two friends founded "Young Crafters," a soon to be clothing line. I am a big fan of the entire Simmons family, and so is my nephew. He looks up to Diggy and , I think Diggy is doing a great job of showing young teens that they can put their minds to whatever they want to achieve, and that age is certaintly not an issue. Keep up to good work!

I first fell in love with Solange's music when "I Decided" came out, and now with a new label, and new sound, her songs are getting better and better. This is her newest, which she recently posted on her twitter. It won't be on the new album, but it's a dope track. It's called "Under Construction."
